Brunch is great here, it goes from 10-3. The food selection is the perfect brunch menu. You get a free fried dough teaser plate while you wait for your food. I had the zydeco eggs and it was unreal how good it was. I will never go anywhere else for Sunday brunch. And the service is perfect with their attention without bothering you.

Didn't care for this place at all. Service was slow, food was cold. Can't understand why this eatery is getting good reviews.

Had dinner here after a long day. It was a good way to finish up. We started out with the calamari. Lots of lightly breaded calamari with a dipping sauce. Pretty good. My wife had the Beaubridge snapper. She said it was really spectacular. Two really nice sized filets seared and topped with a "cherry lime beurre blanc" sauce. It came with some perfectly prepared green beans. She also had sweet potato fries. She said they tasted fresh, not frozen and they weren't julienne, they were round crinkle cut. Nice. I had the Jambalaya. Chicken, sausage and shrimp in a "trinity sauce" and served over rice. I'd have no problem ordering this again. The sausage was spicy but not overly so. The chicken was tender and the large amount of shrimp was cooked perfectly. It also came with the same green beans. Overall, a real nice dinner.

We have been to Zydeco's each of the past two years while spending the month of February in the area. We went again last night and were very pleased with our meals, appetizer and service. Amber, and her associates who assisted throughout our meal, were attentive, prompt and professional and we never waited long for anything despite a relatively full restaurant. The meals were very good and the BBQ Louisiana Shrimp appetizer was delicious and the sauce was great for dunking your bread in after the shrimp were gone, which Amber recommended before she cleared the plate. Will need to go back and sample some more of the menu which included many items.

Since moving into their new location we have been here a few times now with friends. Great cozy welcoming bar to enjoy an excellent selection of beer, wine and spirits as well as a roomy dining room for parties of all sizes. You are given friend okra as a complimentary item which is always very light and delicious. The only down fall here is the service is extremely on the slow side even when it's quiet, that's why we are giving 4 stars). The food for us personally has always been consistently good. Would love to come check this spot out for Sunday brunch, New Orleans is somewhere we love to visit so it's a pleasant surprise to have this restaurant just around the corner. Be sure to check out the specials listed on the menu.

For many years I have been coming to Zydeco. Love the new location and words cannot tell how much I enjoy the wonderful food. The staff is so friendly and the environment is relaxed. My duck entrée (last night) was excellent and how much we enjoyed the Cajun music. Another wonderful time at Zydeco. Can't wait to go back!

After enjoying a morning of boating, we stopped by to check out the Sunday brunch. Pleasant atmosphere, live music by Mike, great service, surprised it wasn't more crowded. The food was great and beautifully presented. The soft shell crab sandwich was very good. Cocktails were buy 1 get a refill at $2 discount, well seasoned bloody mary served with okra and green bean garnish and peach drinks were enjoyed by those in our party of 4.

Great atmosphere staff very helpful with explaining the menu. The owners were very welcoming and stoped by the tables to insure that everything was satisfactory. All in all a very good meal. The restaurant was very clean and decorated nicely it gave a true bourbon street feel. If you enjoy Cajun you will enjoy this.

We had a party of eight for Sunday Brunch. Let me first say, the food was great! I had two poached eggs on crab stuffing, on artichoke bottoms, finished with Hollandaise. Very nice. No quibbles with the food. Okay, maybe a touch more seasoning. My Bloody Mary, ordered "spicy," needed a lot of doctoring to become flavorful. (Note to management: bottled horseradish is an inexpensive flavor enhancer for bloodies Mary. Kudos to management: the pickled green bean and okra garnish was a nice touch. Our server was personable, respectful and clearly caught in the middle of a kitchen s**t storm. I'm not sure what was going on, but I do believe she was caught in the middle. We had cocktails and conversation, but we waited an hour and 10 minutes for our food. Then, six out of the eight of us got served, and after about 10 minutes, we hailed another waiter to alert someone of our service dilemma. He alluded to a kitchen fight, and that our original server was distraught, but we soon got our remaining meals. Our original server eventually returned, obviously embarrassed (for we do not believe the fiasco was her fault, but being a consummate professional, she owned the experience. To our server: we hold nothing against you. If you are not respected where you work, look elsewhere, you deserve respect. To the owner: get it together, your food is good, but your staff are deserving of respect, a vibe that did not transcend to the paying customer. To the semi-live musician, thank you for entertaining us. While you may have been relegated to "background," we appreciated you being there to enhance our experience.

Not much variety here for vegetarians! Service was ok, atmosphere is nice. Typical average restaurant in the Placida area. Average to slightly above average depending on the dish you order.

Just had our first meal here. I had duck special companion went with sticky chicken. Outstanding dishes! Server was amiable and attentive. Food served hot and to order. Veggies crisp and subtly seasoned. Just an incredible meal. Dessert didn't disappoint either. Pecan pie was yummy. The restaurant is a visual delight immaculately clean with a decent bar area. Highly recommend and I'm not easy to please!

As always, every time we come the food is great and the ambiance is fantastic. We've been coming to Zydeco since before it was in its current location and have never been disappointed!

Ate here for the first time...the atmosphere is FANTASTIC. From the moment we set foot in the door, everyone that we encountered were wonderful - the first person that greeted us as we came in (Max) to the wait staff for our table (Teresa), to the busboy (Colin). The food was great, and the Happy Hour is worth coming to. We were told by Teresa about music, brunch and other grille activities to check out. Can't wait to come back and sample more items on the menu.

There's just something about SW Florida, all of the region's best restaurants are inconspicuously hidden away in strip-malls, and Zydeco Grille is no exception. Service: Rad. Efficient, knowledgeable, friendly, and on-point. Our waitress was cool and collected, she even hooked us up with the buy-one get-one-free happy hour drink deal we were totally unaware of. We never felt neglected, despite the dinner rush. (A special shout-out to the bus boy who was everywhere and no-where all at once). Food: The salmon and scallops special was awesome, so was the Jambalaya. House special desert creme brulee (apparently the owner's recipe) certainly did the trick. Atmosphere: Cozy but cool with a great New Orleans vibe. Bonus: The complimentary fried okra that kicks off each meal. If you're brave: try it voodoo style (hot, hot, hot)!

Terrible service and mediocre food. When we asked to move to another table, even though there were three empty, the manager was extremely rude. I'm really not sure why this restaurant is getting the reviews it has.

Best chicken wings in town if not the county! Great selection of classic and unique Louisiana inspired dishes. Full liquor and nice selection of beers. Great atmosphere and the Bluegrass band on Tuesday night is exceptional.

I've been coming to the Zydeco Grille for the past 7 years at the old and now the New Location in Placida. The 45 min drive from Punta Gorda is worth it every time. The Cajun, Creole, and now Southern style cookery is the best you'll find anywhere in the area. If your headed to Boca for the day, this is your spot for lunch or dinner!! Enjoy!!!
